La experiencia de cuidar a pacientes en un servicio de medicina interna en el Hospital Civil “Dr. Antonio González Guevara” de Tepic, Nayarit

Introduction: Caring of the human health is the essence and the formal object of the nursing discipline and must consist of transpersonal and intersubjective actions to protect, enhance and preserve humanity to find a meaning to illness, suffering and pain. However, the prevailing health system makes that goal difficult to achieve in caring. The Caring theory is considered the best to model clinical practice and to retrieve humanistic attributes required in nursing. Material and methods: It is a qualitative study being exploratory, descriptive and interpretative using the principles of grounded theory and the technique used was the semi structured interview research. Results: In the empirical reality, human dynamics are observed through the positivist paradigm, this situation limits greatly the act of caring by the nurse concluding the above in a dehumanizing practice, and displays through the categories, result of the analysis of empirical data. Conclusions: Changing views on nursing caring is necessary for it to acquire a profound dimension that goes beyond of a simple technique, of arranging a routinely attention.Introducción: el cuidado de la salud en el ser humano es la esencia y el objeto formal de la disciplina de Enfermería y debe estar constituido por acciones transpersonales e intersubjetivas para proteger, mejorar y preservar la humanidad con el fin de hallar un significado a la enfermerdad, sufrimiento y dolor. Sin embargo, el sistema de salud imperante dificulta que dicha meta en el cuidado se logre. Se considera a la teoría del Caring la ideal para modelar la práctica clínica y recuperar los atributos humanísticos necesarios en la Enfermería. Material y métodos: es un estudio de corte cualitativo de carácter explorativo, descriptivo e interpretativo utilizando los principios de la teoría fundamentada y se empleó como técnica de investigación la entrevista semiestructurada. Resultados: en la realidad empírica se observan dinámicas humanas a partir del paradigma positivista, situación que limita en gran medida el acto de cuidar por parte del profesional de Enfermería concluyendo lo anterior en una práctica deshumanizante y se visualiza a través de las categorías, resultado del análisis de los datos empíricos. Conclusiones: el cambio de visión sobre el cuidado de enfermería permitirá que adquiera una dimensión profunda que vaya más allá que una simple técnica, de planificar una atención rutinaria
